November showcase at converge10

Jemma presented the achievements of the team in producing online materials for the first unit and an overview of the benefits of the blended model. We were keen to emphasize the simple design of the googlesite, Elluminate sessions and portal, for sustainability by the industry expert and RTO's involved.

visitors to the showcase desk at converge were keen to learn more - thanks Pat for womanizing the desk! - we now have several interested in the Way2Go Kit and in the model of delivery.

new ideas and ways of delivering this valuable resource our mow being planned by the Volunteer Resource Bureau

The next showcase is now being planned for industry people as a real and virtual event in March 2011!

it is not all a bed of roses! We have still to deliver on the second unit of competency! perhaps we needed to have employed the use of the Learning Design Tool for Euroa CEC early in the project! their ecapability is still developing and managing their journey towards sustainability has been challenging!

Berry Street is at the beginning of their capacity to implement elearning for volunteers themselves and will require scaffolding to achieve their aims.

the huge potential for the Way2Go Volunteering to meet the needs of managers is undeniable, it requires some promotion and further recognition from Volunteering Australia, and this program will be in high demand.

you can see the full project deliverables at the googlesite - http://Sites.google.com/Site/way2govolunteering/

  1. A good appraisal Carole. I recall we did recognise the challenge of the lack of elearning expertise early on (would the tool have worked?), but in terms of embedding elearning for the future, ECEC will be taking positive strides in 2011, developing an elearning model for aged care service providers.

  2. Congratulations on the success of your showcase! We had ours on 19th and that went well too. All the best for the future and keep in touch.
