Now we're up to the next module we realise that the audience (the volunteers themselves) have very different learning needs. Therefore the blend for 'Being an effective volunteer' will be 75% traditional (f2f) and 25% online. In this phase there is greater involvement from the newcomers to elearning design - to really get into the development for themselves. This will ensure greater capacity for sustainability for other programs in 2011.
The second unit will be delivered by the end of November to a cohort of new volunteers at Berry Street and we will be able to get their feedback just prior to ConVerge 2010.

"Googlesite learning materials have been really easy to access and navigate;Volunteer coordinators are now looking towards using Elluminate blended in their strategies for coordination of volunteers across remote locations in the Murrindindi Shire - an unexpected but valuable outcome.
Way2Go Kit templates provided for Volunteer management documentation have proven incredibly useful; and the Elluminate workshops have been a lot of fun and another steep learning curve; accessing the Portal and contributing needs some support - Learner guide will be required for learners in the next unit, Being an effective volunteer."
